HMQS Fabric Challenge
Posted by administrator on Friday, May 14th, 2010
We wanted to thank everyone who participated in the HMQS fabric challenge sponsored by Riley Blake Designs. $4,600 dollars was raised last weekend from the live auction of all of the challenge quilts. This is the most money ever raised from a HMQS fabic challenge. All proceeds will be donated to PJs Forgotten Children. Thank you ladies for sharing your talents for this worthy cause and thank you for all of the generous bidders. I won the bid on a couple of beautiful quilts made out of our Sublime fabric....and would have bought more if the bids did not go so high. It was a exciting auction. We are looking forward to next years challenge.

This was a fun challenge! We loved how our "From small beginnings come great things" quilt turned out. What a fantastic thing that the challenge raised that much money. We are excited to use other fabrics of yours. Natalia told me she just set up an account with Riley Blake. Thanks for the fun! Kathleen @ piecenquilt.comby kathleen on 05 June 2010 at 11:39 a.m.

I looked on your blog and I am amazed at the resemblence the two quilts have...old and new. I know this line was a challenge and we were thrilled with what everyone created. Thanks for participating.by Cindy on 01 June 2010 at 10:49 a.m.

I really enjoyed making, donating, and buying back my HMQS challenge quilt-cheddar orange stars. Thought you might like to see it with its antique inspiration quilt (my 1890's cheddar star). http://starleyquilts.blogspot.com Thanks for the challenge. My sister enjoyed it too-she made 2 quilts. We are looking forward to next year. Sandra Starley Moab, Utah AQS Certified Quilt Appraiser http://utahquiltappraiser.blogspot.comby Sandra Starley on 22 May 2010 at 3:11 a.m.
